This ring is all about echoing nature. The shoulder stones with their sparkling clarity and perfectly straight lines frame the long thin rectangle of the aquamarine crystal. The hexagonal crystal formation of the centre stone gives her a naturally art deco appearance which is played out further within the emerald cut shoulder pairing. 

I want to dive into the cool water of this aquamarine swimming pool. The 37.5ct stone is held in a scaffolding of solid gold support and finished with antique filigree details.

Cathy is an avid collector of my work and whilst at a show in New York she passed me her Art Deco family heirloom ring to work my magic on. Once I got her home I first carefully unset the centre stone to re-polish and bring her back to former glory. The rest of the design was worked around the original setting. I love the contrast of my organic textural claws around the bold blocking and stylised straight lines of the original antique. The symmetry of the piece is merely an illusion, every claw is unique.
