Alex's Dead Lovers Hair Brooch

Held safely within this piece is the hair of Alex's dead lover. Inside the specially designed and hand-cut rose quartz heart, light reflects off the rose gold back plate and through the soft lines of his brown hair. Solid silver claws hold the piece together with the arms twisting into antique, ornate ends subtly echoing wings either side. From the bottom of the piece hangs a single garnet teardrop for bloodshed. The back of this piece is as much work as the front. From the engraved back plate to the handmade bespoke pin mechanism. Every single element of this is in honour of the story it tells.

Leesa's Daughter's Ashes

No parent should ever have to go through this. It was an honour to create a piece to help you carry your daughter with you Leesa. The vintage filigree locket was chosen for sentimental reasons and I safely contained her daughters ashes inside the compartment. Held tight in these solid gold claws forever. I have no words, and sometimes, that is what jewellery is for.

Jackie's Mother's Earrings

Jackie gave me her Mother's aquamarine earrings and a selection of her other jewels to make into a piece to remember her by. The deeply included pink tourmaline teardrop centre stone was Jackie's choice and the earrings and deep blue sapphires support her. I love the mix of colours and the contrast between opaque and clarity in this sentimental piece.

Gina's Grandad's Coin Collection

Gina had a small handful of coins that her Grandad collected during his travels. They are set into specially made claws securely holding each momento. In the centre hangs a Chilean 'Libertad' 10 pesos from 1978. Then from right to left is a New York City transit token, 1 Hong Kong Dollar 1979 with Queen Elizabeth on the back, 10 Yen from Japan and 25 Sentimos from the Philippines 1970. The last claw is wearing a tiny diamond pinky ring just like Gina's Grandad used to.
