Set between the two claws of this wedding band is her mother's earring single sapphire and diamond earring. The other one lost years before, but a perfect way to remember and include her beloved mum on her wedding day. Jewellery is all about passing down.

My Garnet Tears

This blood red garnet teardrop is one of my own pieces and I wear her everyday. The deep red stone has a large inclusion that catches the light and sparkles internally. Although inclusions are considered flaws in stones, I think they make them more interesting. It's what I love most about this piece.

Opal Teardrop and Sapphire Halo

Something about the combination of a rose gold sapphire halo takes this piece back to a bygone era. Maybe its the cabochon opal, or the white gold filigree, but to me this ring is dying to be Victorian. The cabochon cut of the stone inside the halo frame makes the large ring sit flush to the finger so she's a striking showstopper, but also streamline and practical for everyday wear. It's these thoughtful touches that make designing so personal.

Jackie's Mother's Earrings

Jackie gave me her Mother's aquamarine earrings and a selection of her other jewels to make into a piece to remember her by. The deeply included pink tourmaline teardrop centre stone was Jackie's choice and the earrings and deep blue sapphires support her. I love the mix of colours and the contrast between opaque and clarity in this sentimental piece.

The Mother of Opal Teardrops

Protectively framed in a thick handmade gold bezel the opal is held in place by the precious bird that found her. A solid gold manicure and miniature diamond ring adorn this not so feral bird, whilst oversized hallmarks with my trademark pigeon finish the outer frame.

Hannah and Rich's Wedding Bands

These wed-fit gold claws curve neatly around Hannah's bespoke aquamarine crystal engagement ring. The sharp points of the cut teardrops contrast with the textures in the natural crystal. The soft green of the sapphire highlights the green tones of the centre stone whilst the bright white diamonds add the sparkle. Rich's ring is a heavy weight curb band with our hallmarks featured on the outside.

Faye's Opal and Emerald Teardrop

Faye must have one of the largest collections of our pieces and the wonderful thing about Faye's collection is that every single one is opal and emerald. This opal teardrop is one of the largest highest grade pieces ever found, even more magical in person. The antique filigree around the sides of the ring is all studded with Faye's beloved emeralds.

Chloe's Opal Teardrop

Not for the faint hearted, Chloe chose the largest of all the opal teardrops for her showstopper of an engagement ring. The stone was so big I even added an extra claw at the bottom to support her!

Alex's Dead Lovers Hair Brooch

Held safely within this piece is the hair of Alex's dead lover. Inside the specially designed and hand-cut rose quartz heart, light reflects off the rose gold back plate and through the soft lines of his brown hair. Solid silver claws hold the piece together with the arms twisting into antique, ornate ends subtly echoing wings either side. From the bottom of the piece hangs a single garnet teardrop for bloodshed. The back of this piece is as much work as the front. From the engraved back plate to the handmade bespoke pin mechanism. Every single element of this is in honour of the story it tells.

Suzanne's Apricot Tourmaline Heart

This piece for me, is not a ring, but a miniature sculpture. A juicy apricot heart is held within five gold claws, but the real magic lies in the asymmetric teardrops that support the stone. Set into each handmade rose gold bezel and holding either a pigeon blood, Burmese ruby or a green tourmaline, is a teardrop. Playing with the angles that we view and appreciate jewellery from, the stories they tell, and the significance a shape can hold, this piece, for me, pushes the boundaries of what jewellery is.

Winnie's Love Hearts and Teardrops

One of the most challenging pieces I've ever made, and also one of the ones I am most proud of. The secret of this incredible green tourmaline heart is the diamond and sapphire teardrops that hold her up. The points of the teardrops hold onto the stone acting like even more claws around her. Many of my pieces work as metaphors and this one is no different.
